Dubai, UAE - The Challenges PMO Faces in Practice (March 2011)

The Project Management Institute – Arabian Gulf Chapter held a panel discussion seminar on "The Challenges facing the Project Management Offices- PMO in practice," at Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai.

The panel consisted of Mr. Salah Bu Falah- the President of the UAE region at the Institute, Ms. Leila Faridoon– Director of the chairman Office at the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA) and Mr. Maged Wassim of IBM, and in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Hammad- the President of the PMI-AGC chapter.

More than 150 engineers and project managers attended the event and shared the challenges they met in their experience in building and developing project management offices within their organizations or in the region, and the practical solutions to these challenges.

Ms. Leila Faridoon presented the unique experience for the Office of Program and Project Management at RTA, through which, the Authority managed to support decision-making, coordination and follow-up with all concerned to complete major projects on schedule and in line with RTA’s strategic plans.
